WOW! Two blog entries within one week. I think I am getting back to normal now.
I have a wonderful lunch meeting today at Panera with Jesse and Rob. I think if I had a lunch meeting at Panera every day of the week I would be happy. (Though I'm not sure how happy my checking account would be.)
Well, Luis and Anita are in Brazil. They will be missed around here. I was thinking on the way into work this morning that exciting days are ahead. God has raised up Luis and Anita and now sent them off to Brazil to continue the ministry He has given them to do. Now, from those who are still here in Grand Rapids, God will continue to raise up people for new areas of responsibility. It will be exciting to see how the Lord moves and what things happen in the future.
I have been struck lately seeing how many of friends are on very exciting spiritual journeys. God is teaching some of my friends new things. These lessons can be painful at times but are good as they draw us closer to God and teach us more about Him. I cannot be jealous a bit as some of the journeys as people are learning for themselves why they believe certain things about God. In my experience my beliefs have often be shaped by simply taking facts at face value rather than finding out for myself why certain things are true.
What do you think?

Busy, busy days
Well it seems I am not the only slacker in the blogging world, however I am finally going to remedy the situation.
This last weekend Becca and I went to Cleveland to visit my parents. My sister went back to school on Sunday so we helped move her into her dorm. At first I missed college life. After moving her into her dorm, I am glad that I live in an apartment with my wife. Dorm rooms are just too small :)
Tomorrow my boss and his family are moving to Brazil. He will still be my boss, but his job is moving to Brazil where RBC Ministries will establish a regional office for the Americas region. On the one hand I see this as a very exciting opportunity, not only for RBC, but also for Luis and his family. On the other hand, I think it would still be scary to move your life to another place. I guess I am becoming a home body though I love the world and want to see more of it.
Tonight, Becca and I are going to a home buyer seminar put on by a bank across the street from our apartment. We are seriously looking at purchasing a home after our present lease is up next June. I am looking forward to this seminar as it should teach us a lot about the home buying process.
That is about all for now. I am still not done with Wisdom Hunter but I hope to blog about it when I am done.

Fun weekend
I am sorry I had not posted in so long. This weekend Becca and I went to Cran Hill near Big Rapids where Becca's parents church (Faith Reformed, Zeeland) was camping. I had not been camping in a long time, so consequently it brought back many memories of childhood camping trips as well as experiences at a Christian camp as a counselor.
Have you watched the Olympics yet? I love the Olympics and am glad to see the USA is doing well in a number of sports so far.

Prayer
As I have been talking with friends and co-workers this week, I am reminded that many people I know are going through very hard times. This blog entry is not a trite answer to all the people struggling with things. This entry is however a reminder for us to pray for our friends during these days. God uses these trials for good purposes, however often times they do not feel fun at the time.
Thanks for praying. Have a good night!
