Praise God my blog is now working again. It is amazing how much I take for granted that I am able to post to the blog and you all are able to read this. You may think I am being sarcastic but I am really not.
The company where my website is hosted has recently changed web servers so we planned to move my website to the new server. I entered the new information in Blogger but I could not save the changes because of errors I was getting. Finally, I gave up on it and asked that my blog remain on the old webserver. I may not have some of the new functionalities, but at least I can post and you all can be updated on what is happening in our lives here in Grand Rapids.
Thanksgiving was a wonderful holiday break for us. Becca and I celebrated in Zeeland with her family. Becca's parents church does an outreach into the community and invites those who do not have a place to go for Thanksgiving, to come to the church for Thanksgiving Dinner. There was not a big turn out this year so there was a lot of food. They plan to advertise a bit earlier next year in hopes that more people will come out. The highlight of the experience for me (besides spending time with my in-laws) was eating deep fried turkey. This was a new thing for me and I must say deep fried turkey is very nice. After dinner I went to my in-laws house and was asleep within a minute and a half. The Lions game on TV actually helped me sleep I think :)
Becca and I did a lot of relaxing at home this weekend. We did a bit of shopping on Friday, though starting at 11:30am not 4 in the morning.
This morning was a little bit different dynamic for me as I headed to work and Becca stayed home. Becca's last day at work was Wednesday. She is still sending out applications and did go to the temp agency today to see what jobs are available. We should have a meeting with a local ministry this week to learn about an opening there. Thanks for your prayers as we wait to see what God has for us.

Welcome back! We missed you! Glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. I've never had deep fried turkey before. I hear it's good though! Tell Becca to enjoy her days at home while they last. It's not a bad time of year to be at home, especially with a foot of that white stuff out there!!
